We want everyone to be able to browse and buy from The Alt Art Co. We aim for this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA.

What we do

• Text and buttons are designed to meet WCAG AA colour contrast, and we check them with automated tools (axe-core).
• Product images have text descriptions (alt text). Purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• The site works with a keyboard. There's a "skip to content" link, and focus outlines show where you are.
• Animations respect your device's "reduce motion" setting.
• Form fields have labels, and every form explains how we'll use your details.

Known limitations

• Our product images are artwork, so alt text describes what's included (the panel layout, the card it's designed for) rather than every detail of each scene.
• Some parts of the site are provided by Shopify (checkout, customer accounts, the cookie banner), so we can't fully control how accessible they are.
